About Me
My name is Paris Doty, RD,LD. I completed my BS in Dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University in 2016. I then completed my 8 month-1200 hours-supervised practice dietetic internship in Tulsa, Oklahoma through the University of Oklahoma. Soon after my internship was completed, I passed my registration exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I was hired to work as an outpatient dietitian in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I worked for 8 months and now I am back in my home state working in the bootheel of Missouri as a public health dietitian.
As with a lot of things in public health, grants are what allow wonderful programs to exist. I work under a HRSA grant called Mpower which offers NO-COST chronic disease and diabetes self-management classes and dietitian services to the people in the Delta region of Missouri. Check out our website at www.MPowerYou.org. Here you can see what classes are offered in your area or set up an appointment with a registered dietitian! Getting more personal, I am a fur-momma to a sassy cat named Fanci and an amazing dog named Jet. My hobbies include cooking, yoga, running, and playing tennis! As a rule in my kitchen, I strive to never say, "I don't feel like making anything". Convenience and excuses are two things that can lead to poor nutrition from neglecting your health. Dietitian's Plate is dedicated to bringing you the recipes you need to change up your plate and change up your attitude about nutrition. I will be showcasing different recipes that are easy to make and affordable for anyone. I will tell you what its benefits are, how much it costs, and how to make it. I will begin filling up my page with game-changing plates of food that will fuel your life. You can also expect science-based nutrition advice and ways to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
